Pearls and Pumps

Pearls and Pumps: Breaking down the barriers had over 50 women in attendance on January 3 at UrbArts in St. Louis, Missouri. We had speakers Kiara Jefferson speak on financial literacy, Huvona Watkins spoke on sexual abuse awareness, Tawanna Watson shared a portion of her testimony and Reine Bayoc was the Main Event. Reine talked about how she turned a dream into reality. Reine is owner alongside her husband C-Babi of SweetArt in south St. Louis. She inspired the women to "Do the work and pursue it passionately". With faith, family and favor, Reine is living her dream.

Empower2Be is excited about what is happening with women in our community and looks forward to the next conference this summer.

Tea and Tiara

Tea and Tiara blessed us on August 16, 2015. This was the first Empower2Be conference held at Webster university in Webster Groves, Missouri. This event had nearly 40 women in attendance. Our speakers included Wendy Ducasse who spoke on mental illness, Tawanna Watson who gave her personal story on depression, Antree spoke on yoga, breathing and meditation and Rita spoke on exercise, healthier eating habits and training your body. Vendors included Korey Washington-Calloway who sold hand-made jewelry and soaps and Glenda Washington who sold jewelry.

This was an amazing first event for Empower2Be and the future will hold even more woman empowerment events for you all.
